Day 17 - Filled With Awe

By Pastor Tim Escamilla

Revelation 19:11-16
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. 13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. 14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. 15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

Reading this passage is quite humbling, and also leaves me awestruck.

This is our Lord Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is before all things and by Him all things exist. He is the Word made flesh, filled with glory. He is the Lion and the Lamb; the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is the Liberator, Bondage Breaker! He is the only one who is Faithful and True. He is the Good Shepherd; He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! He is our Savior; He alone is worthy of all praise.

He is the only one who can make us feel the way He makes us feel. I hope and pray you are in awe and in His presence right now. I pray you feel His life, power, and presence in and around you right now! I hope you are filled with awe when you think of Him; He truly is awesome.

Pray with me:
"Lord, You fill me with awe. This is not a command or a request; it is the truth. You fill me with awe. When I consider the work of Your hands, it fills me with awe. When I think about all You've done for me, it fills me with awe. Thank You for You! Help me to be reminded of Your awesomeness all throughout today. Please move in my life; I wanna see Your glory! In Jesus' name, amen!"
