Day 20 - Beside Still Waters

Psalm 23:2-3
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
I'm hoping to get some rest today. I hope you get some rest today. I hope we both get to enjoy God-filled rest. Of course, we more than likely have things to do. But try to get rest as you do them. I'll be thinking of the green pastures He makes me lie down in. You think about the same.
As you run errands, clean the house, spend time with family, play some games and laugh, try to imagine the still waters He leads you beside. And rest. Let Him restore your soul this Saturday. Let Him put back together the pieces that have become slightly jumbled. Let Him restore your focus. Let Him put together your priorities for you.
As you rest, think of someone else that you can pray for; it could be someone outside of your house and family, or it could be a family member. Ask the Lord to help them rest in Him. That they'd experience the green pastures, still waters, and restoration of their souls.
As you prepare to eat a meal, breathe in slowly, and thank God for His provision. Rest and recharge and get ready for Sunday and the coming week. This time has gone by quickly, but I hope you have been able to take advantage of it. I hope you continue to get closer to the Lord! That's what it's all about. And I hope you get some good rest.
